Basics
A plain glossary of matka chart terms
Open, close, jodi, panna and the rest are names for fields in a record. The example is a row MatkaFlash has already stored.

Key points
- A term names a field that has already been printed. It is not a suggestion.
- Kalyan on 6 November 2026 is stored as 390-24-257. That row is the example below.
- The ank is the last digit of the sum of a panna's digits. For 390, 3+9+0=12, so the ank is 2.
- Half sangam and full sangam are names for combinations of those fields, not a method.
- Starline and jackpot use a different shape. They are not an open-jodi-close row.
Contents
People reuse a small set of words for the same few fields. The words sound like instructions. On this site they are labels. This page says what each label points at, using one row that is already in the archive, and it stops there. Nothing here is a number to play, a fee, or a guess about a later day.
The example is Kalyan on 6 November 2026. MatkaFlash stores the open panna 390, the jodi 24 and the close panna 257. You can see that day on the 6 November 2026 board and on the Kalyan market page. The next Kalyan day in that snapshot, 7 November 2026, is stored as a holiday, with no pannas. A holiday is not a blank to fill. The chart guide shows how those columns sit in a week grid.
| Term | What it names | In this row |
|---|---|---|
| Open | The declaration at opening time | Panna 390, ank 2 |
| Close | The later declaration the same opening date | Panna 257, ank 4 |
| Panna or patti | The three-digit group | 390 and 257 |
| Single ank | One digit, 0 to 9 | Open 2, close 4 |
| Jodi | Open ank written beside close ank | 24 |
| Half sangam | One side's ank with the other side's panna | 2 with 257, or 4 with 390 |
| Full sangam | Open panna written with close panna | 390 with 257 |
| Chart | A grid of dated rows | Not a forecast |
| Record | A row with a date, or an explicit gap | 6 Nov has a row; a missing day does not |
How the ank is defined
On MatkaFlash the ank of a panna is the last digit of the sum of its three digits. Open panna 390 uses 3, 9 and 0. They add to 12. The last digit is 2, so the open ank is 2. Close panna 257 uses 2, 5 and 7. They add to 14. The last digit is 4, so the close ank is 4. The jodi is those two anks in order: 2 then 4, written 24. If a source prints a jodi that is not those two anks, the row disagrees with itself. The check fails. It does not offer a replacement digit for another date.
A single ank is any one of those digits on its own, from 0 to 9. It is still a piece of a row that has been declared. Calling it 'single' does not make it a pick. The same is true of the word final. Until a source has printed a number for that date, there is no final number to store.
Open, close, and a close after midnight
Open is the first of the two declarations for that market on that opening date. Close is the second. They are times on a schedule, then numbers if a source prints numbers. A market whose close is after midnight, such as Main Bazar in the stored schedule, still keeps the close on the opening date. The clock has moved to the next calendar morning. The record has not. The markets guide lists the hours this site stores. Hours are not a promise that a result will appear.
Pending, holiday and no record are statuses, not secret numbers. Pending means today has no dated declaration stored yet. Holiday means a source marked the day as a holiday. No record means a past day has nothing stored. A dash is the honest cell. Writing a nearby jodi into it would make the page look complete and would make it false.
Sangam is a name for fields already on the row
Sangam, in the way result pages use the word, means putting an open field next to a close field. Half sangam means one side's single ank written with the other side's three-digit panna. In the example, that is the open ank 2 with the close panna 257, or the close ank 4 with the open panna 390. Full sangam means the two pannas together: 390 with 257. The jodi is the smaller pair of anks, 24. These are three ways of pointing at the same stored row. They are not three strategies, and this page does not attach a price or a payout to any of them.
A seller who turns 'half sangam' into a product is selling a label. The fields were either printed already, in which case anyone can read them, or they were not printed, in which case the label is a guess. The guessing guide stays on that point. This glossary stays on the names.
Starline, jackpot, chart and record
A chart is the grid: dates down one side, fields across. A panel chart keeps the pannas. A jodi chart keeps the two-digit pair. A record is one dated line in that grid, including a line that says holiday or nothing. An empty cell in the current week is a day that has not been stored. It is not a space left for you to write a guess. Old rows can come from a public chart archive. The page says so when that is the case.
Starline and jackpot do not use this open-jodi-close shape. A starline line this site knows how to read is a clock time, a three-digit panna and one digit, such as 178-6. A jackpot line is a clock time, a short figure, and sometimes a suit, such as 3 Clubs. Neither is a jodi, and neither should be forced into the Kalyan columns. The starline and jackpot guide keeps those shapes separate, with links to Starline and Jackpot.
Common questions
What does 390-24-257 mean?
In the Kalyan row stored for 6 November 2026, 390 is the open panna, 24 is the jodi, and 257 is the close panna. It is a past record, not a number to play.
How is the ank taken from a panna?
Add the three digits and keep the last digit of the total. For 390, 3+9+0 is 12, so the ank is 2. For 257, 2+5+7 is 14, so the ank is 4.
Is a sangam a method?
No. Half sangam and full sangam are names for combinations of the open and close fields on a row that already exists. This site does not sell them as picks.
Is a starline result a jodi?
No. A starline line is a panna plus one digit at a clock time. A jackpot line is a short figure and sometimes a suit. The jodi belongs to the open-and-close markets.
