How to read a jodi or panel chart

Each column is a field in a record. A blank cell means nothing was stored, not a hint about what comes next.

Annotated chart with columns for date, open panna, jodi and close panna, including a blank day and a conflict.

Key points

  1. A column is a field in a record. It is not a suggestion.
  2. The jodi is the open ank beside the close ank. Each ank is the last digit of a panna's digit sum.
  3. A panel chart keeps the three-digit pannas. A jodi chart keeps the two-digit pair.
  4. A blank in the current week is a day with no record yet.
  5. A warning mark means sources disagree. It is not a puzzle to solve by guessing.
Contents

A matka chart is a grid of declarations that have already been printed somewhere public. Reading it is a matter of knowing which column is which, and of refusing the extra meaning sellers add later. This page uses the columns MatkaFlash stores. It uses one teaching row, 390 and 257, to show the digit check. That row is not a number to play, and it is not a claim that any particular day will look like it.

Annotated chart rows. Columns are date, open panna, jodi, close panna and a note. Monday shows 390, 24 and 257 marked as agreeing. Tuesday is blank, marked no record. Wednesday mentions two sources and a conflict.
Anatomy of a recorded week. The Monday figures are a teaching row for the digit check. Blank means no record. Conflict means the sources do not match.
Each column, what it stores, and what it does not mean
ColumnWhat is storedWhat it does not mean
DateThe day the declaration belongs toA lucky day, or a day that is 'due'
Open pannaThree digits declared at open, when a source printed themA panna to repeat
JodiOpen ank beside close ank, two digitsA pair that is owed to the reader
Close pannaThree digits declared at closeThe open, written again
Blank cellNothing dated was recorded for that dayA hidden hint
WarningTwo dated sources disagree, or the digits do not match the jodiA riddle with a correct guess

How the jodi is formed

On this site the ank of a panna is the last digit of the sum of its digits. In the teaching row, the open panna is 390. The digits 3, 9 and 0 add to 12. The last digit is 2, so the open ank is 2. The close panna is 257. The digits 2, 5 and 7 add to 14. The last digit is 4, so the close ank is 4. Writing the open ank and then the close ank produces the jodi 24. If a source prints a jodi that is not those two anks, the row is inconsistent. The check fails closed. It does not propose a replacement for tomorrow.

A panel chart is the chart that keeps the pannas, the three-digit groups. A jodi chart keeps the two-digit pair and usually drops the pannas from the cell, which is why a jodi grid looks simpler and is easier to misuse. Simpler does not mean predictive. Both grids are diaries. The Kalyan jodi chart is one such diary. Its cells are dates. An empty cell in the current week is a day that has not been recorded, including a future day that has not happened. It is not a space for you to write a guess.

Weeks, blanks and holidays

MatkaFlash lays a full chart out as weeks, Monday to Sunday, with a year jump when the archive is long enough. A week row is a calendar device. It is not a cycle that resets your chances on Monday. A holiday, when a source marks one, is stored as a holiday rather than as a zero or a repeated pair. Filling a holiday with a nearby number would make the grid look complete and would make it false. A blank is more honest than a borrowed digit.

Old rows can come from a public chart archive rather than from a live read on the day. The daily page says so when that is the case, and it gives the import time. 'Imported' means the number was copied from a dated public chart. It does not mean a court certified that number as the only one that circulated. Where two dated sources disagree, the row carries the conflict. Choosing the prettier number would be a guess. MatkaFlash does not guess.

Ways the grid gets misread

One misreading is to treat a repeated pair as a habit of the market. Repetition is a count of the past. The guessing guide says why a count is not a forecast. Another misreading is to treat the open ank as a tip for the close. The open ank is part of the open declaration. The close, when it comes, is a later declaration. Until it is printed, the close column is empty. A third misreading is to trust an undated number over a dated one. On this site an undated line is weak evidence. The date is what puts the number on a day.

Starline and jackpot grids elsewhere on the site are not the same shape. A published starline row is a panna plus one digit, hourly, for the families that appear on the public page. A jackpot row can be a single figure and a suit on a short clock, not a jodi. Do not force those columns into open-jodi-close. If a family has no dated rows, the page says so. Empty is not filled from a cousin market. The history guide is about how newspapers described the older draws. It is not a key to the columns.

A useful way to read

Start with the date. Then read the open panna, the jodi and the close panna as one row, and check the anks if you want to see whether the row agrees with itself. Note the source time if the page shows one. Stop there. A useful reading answers 'what was recorded?' A sales reading asks 'what should I play?' The second question is not in the grid. The editorial guide explains why the answer is not for sale on this site either.

Common questions

What is the difference between a jodi chart and a panel chart?

A panel chart keeps the three-digit open and close pannas. A jodi chart keeps the two-digit pair formed by the open ank and the close ank. Both are records.

How is the ank of a panna calculated here?

Add the digits and keep the last digit of the total. For the teaching panna 390, 3+9+0 is 12, so the ank is 2.

What does a blank cell mean?

No dated record has been stored for that day. It is not a hint, and a future day in the current week is blank because it has not been declared.

What does a warning on a row mean?

The digits do not match the jodi, or dated sources disagree. It is a reason to trust the row less, not a puzzle to guess through.
